Bio: My industry expertise is in relation to the transport sector with particular expertise in road transport matters including Public Inquiries before the Traffic Commissioners and Transport Appeal Tribunal, defending road transport prosecutions in the Magistrates’ and Crown Court, health and safety, corporate manslaughter, and Coroners’ Inquests.
Further, in the transport field, I deal with international trade disputes regarding the sale and shipment of goods, voyage and time charters, bills of lading and general trading disputes.
I advise clients in relation to anti-bribery and corruption, fraud and regulatory compliance. Further, I defend both individuals as well as companies who are subject to investigation and prosecution by the Health & Safety Executive.
I am a Solicitor-Advocate with the rights of audience in the Higher Courts, both Criminal and Civil. I am a member of the Solicitors Association of Higher Court Advocates and am also a Committee member.
I am a member of the Confederation of Passenger Transport and the Freight Transport Association. Member of the Honourable Society of Grays Inn and The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK). Member of the Health and Safety Lawyers Association.
I lecture on issues such as corporate manslaughter and corporate/directors’ responsibility. I regularly contribute to Route One, Commercial Motor and CDC News, CDC Coach Drivers Handbook (2007-2014) as well as a regular contributor to various industry publications.
Shaun Lundy, Quality Assurance & Strategy Director, Tetra
Shaun is a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner and Chartered Building Engineer with over 25 years of experience in health, safety, and fire risk management.
In addition to his role as Quality Assurance & Strategy Director at Tetra, Shaun is a visiting academic at the University of Greenwich and Middlesex University, and he serves as an external examiner at the University of Malta.
He is actively involved with The Property Institute and the Building Safety Alliance, focusing on the impacts of emerging legislation on building safety. Shaun currently holds the position of Vice-Chair of the IOSH Construction Group Committee. His ongoing research interests include ethics, leadership, education, and competence in health, safety, and fire practice within the built environment.
